Every first Sunday of the month, starting from 3 July, the Camera di San Paolo will be open for free: a new opportunity to admire Correggio's masterpiece
Continuing with the promotion and enhancement actions of the Camera di San Paolo, the Municipality of Parma further supports the opportunities for enjoying this fascinating heritage site by joining the Domenica al museo initiative, which provides free access to all places of culture. first Sunday of the month.
Since 2014, the ministerial initiative Sunday at the museum has allowed free access to the cultural sites of the State since 2014, an opportunity to discover the Italian cultural heritage and to get to know places not yet visited. To these is added the Camera di San Paolo whose admission will be free every first Sunday of the month, starting from Sunday 3 July 2022, allowing citizens and tourists to freely enjoy the late Gothic umbrella vault frescoed by Correggio in 1519 and considered one of the undisputed masterpieces of the mature Italian Renaissance, which can be accessed by passing through the room frescoed by Alessandro Araldi with a rich grotesque decoration.
In addition, free guided tours continue (with the purchase of the entrance ticket) by the specialized staff of the Museum scheduled every Thursday at 15.30 (Thursday 7 July the Chamber will be closed to the public), an opportunity for visitors to immerse yourself in the museum itinerary of the Chamber of the Abbess and discover the history of the entire monumental complex of San Paolo.
