Every year, in October, the Verdi Festival celebrates the Maestro born in Roncole di Busseto, in the province of Parma, at the Regio Theatre of Parma and in Verdi's lands. The Verdi Festival celebrates its twenty years in the open-air theater set up at the Ducal Park, in the heart of the city, in front of the monumental Ducal Palace.

Roberto Abbado on the podium of Macbeth, Paris version of 1865, premiered in modern times, and the Requiem Mass, Ernani conducted for the first time by Michele Mariotti, the symphonic concert of Valerij Gergiev and the Gala Verdiano by Luca Salsi.

Luigi Lo Cascio and Marco Baliani tell and interpret Macbeth and Rigoletto accompanied by the Quartet Leonardo and Busseto’s Philharmonic. The Caravan Verdi brings La Traviata face to face with the public in the squares of Parma, Busseto, Zibello.

Verdi Off inaugurates its fifth edition bringing Verdi home and calls the artists to become Cantastorie verdiani.
